Purchasing Instructions & Payment
To make a purchase, please use the shopping cart feature. The shopping cart will
ask for your shipping information and email address so that we can contact you.
You will not be billed by the shopping cart. It is simply a way for us to
receive your order. After we receive your information, we will verify
product availability and will also calculate shipping. We will then
send an invoice to your email address with payment instructions. After
receiving your payment, we will ship your item(s).
We accept PayPayl only from verified accounts or confirmed addresses. If you
do not have a PayPal account, you can easily set one up at
www.paypal.com. If you have any questions,
please email us at contactus
coralreefaquarium.net, or contact Klaus at 260-484-0951.
Shipping
We have a corporate FedEx account which allows us
to pass on the savings to you. Unlike many of our competitors who charge $50+ for shipping,
we make no money on shipping. We charge you what FedEx charges us. All orders will be shipped
via Fedex Standard Overnight. We will not ship 2day air as most likely your item will be DOA (dead on arrival).
Shipping rates (with FedEx Standard Overnight) for the first item are as follows:
|
State |
First |
|
Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio |
$20 |
|
All other continental states |
$40 |
|
Alaska & Hawaii |
$45 |
If you win multiple auctions, shipping rates (with FedEx Standard Overnight) for each additional item are as follows:
|
State |
Each Additional |
|
All continental states |
$5 |
|
Alaska & Hawaii |
$7 |
What sets us apart from our competitors is that we float all our coral frags on Styrofoam plugs inside the
shipping bags. This helps to significantly reduce tearing of the coarls flesh, thus, reducing stress and DOAs.
We pay for all shipping supplies including styrofoam lined-boxes, bags, hot/cold packs, packing peanuts, and any other
packing materials required. All orders will be shipped on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.
When the temperature in your city exceeds 85 degrees or when it gets below 40 degrees, you take full responsibility
if your shipment is DOA (dead on arrival). If a coral becomes sick during the period between auction ending
and shipping, another coral will be substituted of the same species and of like value. If this isn’t an option,
you will be notified to discuss replacement options.
Livestock can be picked up at our retail store free of charge.
We don't ship outside the United States as it takes special permits.
Our Guarantee
We guarantee that your livestock will arrive alive and well (with the exceptions above regarding shipping temperatures).
Casualties are rare, but when shipping live animals, misfortunes in transit can occur and all we can do is package the animals
to the best of our ability. If you do receive an animal that was DOA (dead on arrival), take a digital photo of the animal
and send it to us at contactus
coralreefaquarium.net within
4 hours of the package being delivered by FedEx. With a DOA claim, shipping charges will not be refunded or given as store
credit. If a second shipment is sent, you will be responsible for the additional shipping charges.
Policies, Terms, & Conditions
If you have a problem with your shipment and the following conditions are met, we will either replace your livestock or issue store credit.
1) All deliveries should be signed for upon the first delivery attempt.
2) Ambient temperatures (temperatures during shipping) were between 85 degrees and 40 degrees (see notes above regarding shipping temperatures).
3) We cannot be held responsible for delays in shipping or damage of the package contents due to shipping mishandling. You must take the delivery of the order even if it is delayed in shipping in order to qualify for any coverage. It is possible for some items to survive for a long period of time in certain conditions, so you must accept the delivery to give them a chance.
4) Livestock should be acclimated properly and placed in a tank with the proper water conditions. Ammonia = 0.0 ppm; Nitrites: 0.0 ppm; Nitrates: 0 to 20 ppm; pH: 8.2 to 8.4; Specific Gravity: 1.018 to 1.025 for fish only, 1.021 to 1.025 for all other items.
